This was established to create a better User Experience for internal underwriters that is web-based and reactive in design with three different view preference levels, depending on employment-level clearance. This goal was achieved through an overhaul of the current CRS system and a re-visualization of how underwriters could approach and navigate a deal. We interviewed senior underwriters and new underwriters to understand usability Heuristics when making a decision on an application. The big project innovation was the addition of an Alerts/Comments/Stipulation tab that allowed the underwriters to directly annotate within the deal and apply new checks to promote fair lending.
